Terms of Service

Last updated 21 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and BoothBuzz Media LLC for use of BuzzIt. By creating an account you accept them.

What BuzzIt does

BuzzIt holds the details you tell us are true about a business — its name, telephone, city and opening hours — and checks them against that business's own website and, where you connect one, its listings. It reports the structured data a page declares, whether the details on the page agree with your record, and technical faults a visitor would run into. Each month it re-checks and reports what changed.

What BuzzIt does not do

BuzzIt does not promise any outcome. We report findings. We cannot make Google, ChatGPT, or any other system rank, cite or recommend a business, and we do not claim to influence how they do so. Anyone telling you otherwise about any product in this category is guessing.

We also cannot verify facts that only you know. Whether your prices are current, whether your menu matches your kitchen, whether your contact form reaches an inbox, whether your phone gets answered — the product asks you these and records the date you answered. Those records are your statements, not our findings, and reports describe them that way.

Audits read page markup without running JavaScript, and read a bounded number of links. Findings are best-effort observations, phrased so that something we did not find reads as “we did not find it” rather than “it is not there”.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anyone you invite to it. Everyone you invite can see every business on the account. Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.

What you may monitor

You may only add a business you own or are authorised to act for. Adding a business causes our servers to make repeated requests to its website. Pointing that at a site you have no relationship with is a misuse of the service and grounds for immediate termination.

You also agree not to:

Plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Each plan allows a set number of businesses; the current allowances and prices are shown in the app before you subscribe.

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. We do not lock you into a term.

Refunds. Monthly fees already charged are not automatically refunded, since the work for that period has been done. That said, if the service did not do what this page says it does, email us and we will refund you — we would rather return the money than argue about it. If we fail to deliver a scheduled re-audit that your plan includes, tell us and we will refund or credit that period.

If a payment fails we will keep your account active for a short grace period and email you. If it stays unpaid, scheduled audits stop.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Your data and ours

You keep ownership of the records you enter and the reports produced about your businesses. You grant us permission to process them in order to run the service. We own BuzzIt itself — the software, the audit engine and its findings logic. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect and who else sees it.

You can export or request your data, and have it deleted, at any time. Closing your account does not entitle us to keep using your records.

Availability

We aim to keep BuzzIt available and to run every scheduled audit, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime figure and this is not a service-level agreement. Audits depend on other people's websites being reachable; when one is not, we report that rather than pretending otherwise.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using BuzzIt and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms — particularly the section on what you may monitor — or that does not pay. Where the breach is not serious we will tell you and give you a chance to put it right first.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, including that the service will be uninterrupted or that its findings will be complete.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially we will email account holders at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use BuzzIt after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, cancel before they take effect and we will refund any unused period.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Connecticut have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
